Citizens for Animal Protection Hosts Kick-Off to Summer Adoption Event with 100% Adoption Fees Waived

May 15 2024

Get ready to welcome a new furry friend into your home this summer as Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP) gears up for its annual "Kick-Off to Summer" adoption event. On June 1, 2024, CAP will be waving adoption fees for homeless dogs, cats, and small mammals, offering them the chance to find loving families and forever homes.

CAP, a non-profit organization founded in 1972, shelters, rescues, and places homeless animals for adoption with loving families while advocating respect and compassion for animal life and providing humane education to prevent cruelty to animals. Their facility is conveniently located at 17555 Katy Freeway, near Barker Cypress Road on the south side of the interstate.

Longtime supporters of CAP, West Houston Subaru, will once again step up to sponsor 100% of all adoption fees, ensuring that cost is not a barrier for those looking to adopt. But that's not all – the event promises even more excitement with various dog businesses joining the action, alongside representatives from the foster department and CAP Cornelius Clinic.

With adoption fees waived, pet parents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to save money and invest in essentials for their new companions. The Happy Tails Pet Supply Store, conveniently located onsite, offers everything from leashes and bowls to kennels, treats, clothes, and more. Best of all, proceeds from all purchases go directly back to supporting the shelter and its vital work.

Whether you've been considering adding a furry friend to your family for a while or are simply looking to spread some love this summer, this event is the perfect opportunity to make a difference in the life of a shelter animal. Join CAP and West Houston Subaru for this exciting Summer Kick-Off Event on June 1st. Shelter hours will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., so mark your calendars and get ready to meet your new best friend!
