Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital Celebrates 27 Years of Trusted Pet Care and Community Service in Katy

May 02 2025

Since 1998, Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital has been a dependable presence in the Katy community, quietly earning the trust of families through years of compassionate, high-quality care for pets. Located just off Cinco Ranch Boulevard and Peek Road, the clinic offers a welcoming, full-service environment where pet wellness, education, and community support go hand in hand.

“I opened Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital with a plan to make a difference in the community,” says Dr. Steven Hibler, the hospital’s founder and lead veterinarian. “Client communication has always been central to our care—it’s what helps us build meaningful relationships with both pets and their people.”

A Veterinarian with Deep Roots and a Passion for Service

A graduate of Texas A&M University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Hibler has practiced since 1984 and has authored scientific publications and spoken to interest groups throughout his career. He holds memberships in multiple professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and American Association of Feline Practitioners.

He and his wife of over 40 years, Marybeth, have two sons, three grandchildren, and one lucky, rescued dog. Outside the clinic, Dr. Hibler likes to unwind with a little adventure—whether that’s flying his plane, diving underwater, practicing Krav Maga, or heading out to the shooting range.

Comprehensive Pet Services with a Personal Touch

Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital provides a wide range of services for dogs, cats, and—on a limited basis—small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. When meeting a new pet for the first time, the team takes time to get to know both the animal and their owner, building trust and understanding to help deliver the most personalized and effective care possible. Their offerings include:

  • Wellness exams, urgent care, and surgical services
  • Cold laser therapy, radiology, ultrasound, and dental care
  • Boarding and grooming, all provided on-site
  • Early Bird Drop-Off at 7 a.m. and late pickup hours until 7 p.m.
  • International health certificates for pet travel
  • Flexible payment options including CareCredit, ScratchPay, and Trupanion Vet Direct Pay, which allows insured clients to pay only what’s not covered at the time of visit

To make preventive care more affordable, the clinic also offers Happy Healthy Pet Care Plans—customizable monthly wellness packages that spread out the cost of annual services like vaccines, dentals, and spay/neuter procedures. Plans include up to 25% off services, making routine care easier to manage for families with pets of all ages.

The clinic is also a proud AAHA-accredited hospital and Cat Friendly Practice, maintaining high standards of care and comfort for both patients and their owners.

Giving Back Through Local Partnerships

Community involvement is an essential part of the clinic’s identity. Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital proudly sponsors the Katy Police Department’s K9 Officers, providing veterinary care and accepting donations to support their ongoing health needs.

“We’re proud to be part of something bigger than our exam rooms,” says Dr. Hibler. “Supporting the K9 unit is just one way we stay connected to the people we serve.”

In appreciation for service and sacrifice, the clinic also extends a 10% discount to seniors, first responders, and military families.

Celebrating Decades of Compassionate Care

In recognition of more than 25 years of service, Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital will host a ribbon cutting with the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at their facility located at 2519 Cinco Park Place, just off Cinco Ranch Boulevard.

As Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital reaches its 27th year, it’s a poignant reminder of how deeply rooted care can help shape a community. For the families who walk through its doors, it’s more than a clinic—it’s a place where generations of pets have been known, treated, and loved.
