Fort Bend County is inviting residents of all ages to take part in the Adopt-a-Bed Planting Days, a community gardening event aimed at enhancing local green spaces. This hands-on initiative, hosted in partnership with Lucille's 1913, offers a great opportunity for individuals and families to plant flowers and vegetables, learn about sustainable gardening, and connect with fellow community members.

The event will take place on March 15 and March 22, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Kendleton Farm. Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 9:30 AM, with free parking available on-site.

What to Expect at Adopt-a-Bed Planting Days:
  • Hands-on gardening with flowers and vegetables
  • Learn sustainable gardening techniques from local experts
  • Engage with community members in a family-friendly outdoor environment
  • Free event, open to all ages and skill levels

Lucille’s 1913 Chef Chris Williams emphasized, “It’s a chance for the community to come together, learn valuable gardening skills, and improve the environment.”

This event is part of Fort Bend County’s commitment to sustainability, food security, and community building. For more information or to reserve your spot, visit Eventbrite.
