Bridgeland Fun Run/Walk for Heroes 2025

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the Bridgeland community will lace up their sneakers and unite for the Fun Run/Walk for Heroes, an inspiring Cypress-area event combining fitness, tribute, and community connection. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. at Festival Park, this meaningful day honors veterans and active service members, supports vital programs, and brings neighbors together in a powerful show of gratitude and pride.

Hosted by The Bridgeland Community Supports Veterans, Inc., the Fun Run/Walk for Heroes raises funds for projects that directly benefit veterans and their families, including maintenance of the Bridgeland Veterans Memorial Park, Memorial Day and 9/11 remembrance events, Thanksgiving turkey donations for veterans in need, veteran-focused social gatherings and financial assistance, and community outreach like children’s Fourth of July thank-you cards

Races and Events for All Ages

• 10K & 5K Races – Competitive runners and casual walkers alike are welcome.

• 5K Flag Team Challenge – Four-person teams carry the American flag across the entire course in a symbolic act of unity.

• 1K Children’s Run – Kicks off at 9:00 a.m., stroller- and wagon-friendly so even the smallest community members can join.

Awards & Recognition

• Top three male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K

• First-place Flag Team and 1K boy and girl winners

• Every child in the 1K receives a prize packet

• All 5K and 10K finishers receive a commemorative challenge coin

Honor Your Hero Program

Participants can submit the name, rank, and branch of service of a veteran or active service member to be displayed along the racecourse, creating a moving tribute that reminds everyone why this day matters.

Family Fun at Festival Park

After the races, Festival Park will come alive with:

• Family entertainment

• Children’s activities and games

This rain-or-shine event is open to everyone—not just Bridgeland residents—making it perfect for experienced runners, casual walkers, and families seeking a meaningful weekend activity.
