FBC Libraries' Multicultural Festival

Fort Bend County Libraries invites the public to celebrate cultural heritage and global diversity at its annual Multicultural Festival, taking place May 10, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at George Memorial Library.

Organized with support from the Friends of the George Memorial Library, this free community event highlights the vibrant cultural landscape of Fort Bend County—a region known for its rich diversity and inclusive community spirit.

• Cultural Exchange Exhibition in the Lobby – Ongoing throughout the day
• Live Music & Dance Performances in the Jodie E. Stavinoha Amphitheater:
  • 10:30-11:30 AM: North America Youth Chinese Orchestra, performing traditional Chinese music with instruments like the pipa, guzheng, and zhong ruan
  • 1:00-2:00 PM: “World Beats” by Garage Arts Project, featuring multicultural musical expressions
• STEM Demonstrations (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM) by Unite & Inspire, spotlighting global scientific contributions
• International Food Court (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM) in the Bohachevsky Gallery, offering flavors from around the world
