Let's Build It! Challenges & Open Play

This summer, Northwest Branch Library invites young builders to get creative at Let’s Build It! Challenges & Open Play, a free, interactive event happening on July 7 from 1–3 p.m. Designed for children ages 5–12, this fun-filled session encourages imagination, teamwork, and hands-on learning.

Northwest Branch Library serves the community with educational programming and youth-focused events that promote STEM skills and collaborative play.

• Legos and Duplos
• Magna-Tiles and Lincoln Logs
• Big Blue Blocks
• Straw Connectors
• And more creative construction sets

Children can take part in free play or organized team challenges, encouraging both independent thinking and group cooperation. All building materials must remain at the library, but families are encouraged to take photos of their children’s creations.

• Free tickets required—available 30 minutes before the program at the Information Desk
• First-come, first-served basis
• Personal building toys should be left at home
