Senior Bus Trip to Gonzalez
28515 Old Washington Road
Hockley ,TX 77447
Join us on a trip to the Prairie and Lakes region. In the middle of the city where the Texas revolution started, sits the Gonzales County Jail Museum. Built in 1885, only 49 years after Texas won it's independence from Mexico, it's seen its share of outlaws, banditos, and bad guys over the years. Now the museum is open to the public and gives people a glimpse into working at the jail, living at the jail, and of course being a prisoner at the jail. Visitors can see the rebuilt gallows, sit in a cell, and see the jailers quarters. After touring the old jail we will enjoy lunch at Running M Bar & Grill.
Are you ready to "Come and Take It" with us? All trips are subject to change. Sign-up for this trip starts June 1, and a $3 check payable to: Hockley Senior Citizens is sue at sign-up.
