Join a docent from the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston to discuss painters who were called Fauves or Wild Beasts by the critics because of their new and different style of art. Their works emphasized strong color, wild brushstrokes, and a simplification of form that had not been seen before. This style was a further step toward abstraction and allowed a new freedom for the artist. The vibrancy of these works attracts many viewers.
