Cross Creek Ranch Scouts Inspire Patriotism with Flags Across America Program
On national holidays, the streets of Cross Creek Ranch take on a special kind of beauty, one lined with American flags thanks to the dedication of local Scouts. The Scouting America’s Flags Across America Program is bringing neighbors together while honoring the ideals of patriotism, service, and community.
Several Scout Troops in the area work year-round to prepare for this volunteer-driven program. On select national holidays, participating residents wake up to find a bright U.S. flag standing tall in their yard, placed there by Scouts and their families.
Residents can view a map of the current Cross Creek Ranch flag program territories online, showing which Scouts cover which neighborhoods. By emailing the Scout listed on the map, residents will receive information from the Scout or his parents about how to register.

The program continues to grow as more Scouts step up to volunteer. Those who are outside a designated territory are encouraged not to worry—as more Scouts volunteer for new territories, the map will be updated to include them.
For the Scouts, this is about more than flags—it’s about honoring country and community. The program’s goal is to fill the streets with American flags for the love of the country, show support for the men and women who defend our freedoms, and stay dedicated to the ideals of Scouting.
