Chick-fil-A Copperfield Reopens August 5 with Blood Drive and Community Block Party
After a six-month full reconstruction—including the complete demolition of the original 1994-built structure earlier this year—the Chick-fil-A Copperfield restaurant at 8440 Hwy 6, Houston, TX 77095 is reopening on Tuesday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m.
Since the February closure, locals have been eagerly awaiting word of when this busy Copperfield location would reopen, and the wait is finally over. The redesigned restaurant—one of the largest Chick-fil-A restaurants in Northwest Houston—features over 6,000 square feet of modern dining space, seating for 211 guests, 30 tables of varying sizes, and two full-service drive-thru lanes with a dedicated Mobile Serve lane for app orders.
The morning kicks off with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony for Chick-fil-A team members, friends and families, followed by an open invitation for the community to drop in starting at 11:00 a.m. for lunch service, celebrate the grand opening, and explore the new space with all of its improvements.
“We wanted to create a place where people can eat a great meal, connect, and know they’re part of something bigger,” said Sydnea Rutland, owner and operator of Chick-fil-A Copperfield. “This renovation wasn’t just about a building—it’s about serving our community even better than ever before.”

What’s New
Inside, guests will find a brand-new playground, charging outlets for laptops and devices, and the Mobile Serve lane that lets customers order on the app, scan a code upon arrival, and have meals delivered directly to their vehicle.
“One of my favorite parts of this redesign is our expanded team member space,” Rutland said. “We want to make sure our team has an environment where they feel supported, can connect with one another, and even work on homework or college courses during breaks.”
Chick-fil-A Copperfield Reopening Celebrations
To celebrate reopening day, Chick-fil-A Copperfield is partnering with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center to host a blood drive on Friday, August 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Donors will receive a $25 gift card redeemable at major retailers such as Target, Walmart, or Home Depot, plus a dessert card from Chick-fil-A as a thank-you for giving back.
The celebration continues on Saturday, August 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with the First Annual Chick-fil-A Copperfield Community Block Party. This free family-friendly event will feature:
- Petting zoo
- Face painting
- Sack race and three-legged race
- Balloon artist
- Eating contest
- Fun community networking opportunities
Guests can also visit a Community Partnership Table to suggest new ways Chick-fil-A Copperfield can support local events and nonprofits.
“We’re doubling down on community partnerships and creating opportunities for people to come together,” Rutland added. “From spirit nights to helping local organizations with fundraising and events, this restaurant is truly about being a community hub for Copperfield families.”

New Delivery Options & Community Partnerships
The new Chick-fil-A Copperfield isn’t just about dining in. A catering delivery program launches in August for orders of $75 or more, with delivery available within 20 miles. In addition, the team is partnering with Fundraising University to help schools, sports teams, and nonprofits meet their fundraising goals.
Chick-fil-A Copperfield will also bring back Spirit Night programs—both in-person and digital—to make fundraising easier for local organizations. Event support services, such as game rentals and activities for apartment communities and neighborhood events, will also be available, with Chick-fil-A team members ready to help at your event.
