Livsmart Studios by Hilton Coming to Katy with $3.25M Extended-Stay Hotel Near Katy Mills
A new extended-stay hotel is on the way to Katy as Hilton prepares to bring its newest brand, Livsmart Studios by Hilton, to the growing community. Construction is scheduled to begin in early January 2026, on a four-story, 50,000-square-foot building located at 25175 Star Lane, Katy, TX 77494 near Katy Mills, with completion expected by February 2028. The $3.25 million project will feature 81 guest rooms.
This development is part of Hilton’s broader strategy to expand its extended-stay offerings for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and flexibility. Katy, with its steady population growth, expanding business corridors, and family-friendly appeal, has become a sought-after destination for both business and leisure travelers.

Hilton describes the brand as “an innovative hotel designed for the long-stay traveler who wants to maintain their routines on the road.” For Katy, this means new lodging options that go beyond a simple overnight stay—ideal for professionals on extended assignments, families relocating, or visitors who want to enjoy the area without feeling rushed.
Why Katy Makes Sense
Katy’s growth has made it one of the most talked-about suburbs in Greater Houston, and that momentum is driving demand for more lodging options. With Katy ISD now serving close to 100,000 students, families are constantly hosting relatives for graduations, sporting events, and school activities. At the same time, professionals connected to the Energy Corridor and the expanding Texas Medical Center–West Campus often need temporary housing as they transition into the community.
The region has also become an entertainment hub for the west side of Houston. From Friday night football at Legacy Stadium to concerts and expos at the Merrell Center, plus year-round tournaments at local sports facilities, hotels in the area are consistently in demand. Add in shopping and dining destinations like Katy Asian Town and LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch, and the ongoing resurgence of Katy Mills Mall—which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary and is welcoming new retailers like Primark and P.F. Chang’s—the city has grown into a place where visitors want to stay longer and experience more.
For local businesses, an extended-stay option like Livsmart Studios is expected to make a meaningful difference—giving guests the comforts of home while supporting restaurants, retailers, and small businesses that rely on steady foot traffic from both residents and visitors.

Looking Ahead
When completed in 2028, Livsmart Studios by Hilton will add a fresh option for those who want the comfort of home combined with the reliability of a global hospitality brand. For Katy residents, the project represents more than a hotel—it’s another step in shaping the city as a hub for growth, opportunity, and community connection.
