P. Terry’s Breaks Ground in Cypress: Construction Begins on Bridgeland’s Upcoming Burger Destination
P. Terry’s Burger Stand, the beloved Texas-born fast-casual restaurant, has officially broken ground on its highly anticipated Bridgeland location in Cypress. The new outpost, part of the Village Green development at Bridgeland Central, began construction in mid-June 2025—bringing the company one step closer to joining the area’s growing culinary landscape.
Sharon Durr with P. Terry’s confirmed the milestone with My Neighborhood News, saying, “We’re excited to share that construction for the Bridgeland at Village Green location officially commenced with a groundbreaking in mid-June 2025.” While progress is underway, Durr acknowledged the challenges of building during the unpredictable Gulf Coast summer. “Being a stand alone project, weather always plays a factor in the early stages of projects,” she noted.
Though Cypress residents have eagerly awaited news of an opening date, Durr explained that while the project is on track, more time is needed before confirming the official launch. “Although we anticipate completion of this unique, one-of-a-kind P. Terry's design in Q1 2026, as of now we’re not ready to announce a specific grand opening date just yet,” she said.
A New Chapter for Bridgeland Dining
The announcement of P. Terry’s entry into Cypress originally came in September 2024, when Howard Hughes Corporation shared that the Austin-based brand would become a cornerstone tenant in the 70-acre mixed-use Bridgeland Central development. Known for its commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients and customer-first service, P. Terry’s has been rapidly expanding across Texas since its founding in 2005.

The Bridgeland location promises a custom architectural design, crafted by the renowned Michael Hsu Office of Architecture. Guests can look forward to an indoor dining space paired with a convenient double drive-through. Natural materials like real cedar and quarried stone will elevate the aesthetic of the site, emphasizing the brand’s unique identity.
Menu highlights will include all-natural Black Angus beef burgers, antibiotic-free chicken patties, fresh-cut fries, and hand-spun milkshakes. For breakfast, patrons can enjoy cage-free egg sandwiches, fresh-cut potatoes, and signature baked goods like banana bread and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
A Fast-Casual Favorite Joins a Thriving Community
Bridgeland Central is quickly becoming a hub for food lovers and families, with an exciting lineup of eateries and retailers scheduled to open throughout 2025. Alongside P. Terry’s, new establishments such as Jonathan’s The Rub, Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, Crust Pizza Co., and Gelato & Co. are slated to make their debut. In fall 2024, Bridgeland celebrated the grand opening of its highly anticipated 100,000-square-foot H-E-B grocery store.
