Romp n’ Roll Opens in Cypress: New Indoor Play and Activity Center for Young Children

July 03 2025

Romp n’ Roll has opened its doors in Cypress, bringing its play-based early learning programs to families in the area. Located at 24310 US-290 in Suite 200, this is the second Greater Houston location for the national brand, which first arrived in the region with its Katy center in 2020. The new space is designed for children ages 3 months to 5 years and offers a mix of gym, music, art, and imaginative play activities.

The 3,308-square-foot facility is part of Cypress Marketplace at Barker Cypress and Highway 290, a high-traffic retail hub anchored by H-E-B and At Home. With a focus on child development through movement, creativity, and social interaction, the center is already drawing attention from families looking for new opportunities to keep their little ones active, engaged, and social.

Grand Opening Brings Excitement and Deals for Cypress Families

To celebrate its grand opening, Romp n’ Roll Cypress is offering founding membership deals that provide access to exclusive benefits and discounts. Families are invited to tour the center, meet instructors, and discover firsthand what makes Romp n’ Roll a standout in early learning play spaces.

“Come see what the fun is all about,” the center’s team encourages, inviting the community to experience the colorful, creativity-fueled environment where children grow through movement, music, and hands-on activities.

A Vision Rooted in Family

The Romp n’ Roll concept was first created in 2004 by husband-and-wife duo Michael and Babz Barnett in Richmond, Virginia. Inspired by their own children, Zachary and Emma, the Barnetts envisioned a safe, welcoming place that blended education, creativity, and connection—for both kids and their caregivers. Their idea blossomed into an international brand with more than 300 locations in China, and now 11 open centers across the U.S., with several more in development.

Unlike traditional play centers, Romp n’ Roll fosters a tight-knit community where parents and caregivers are part of the journey. The staff aren’t just instructors—they’re mentors who help children build confidence, friendships, and a love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

What Makes Romp n’ Roll Unique?

The Cypress location is bringing Romp n’ Roll’s signature curriculum to life, offering a wide array of classes including:

  • Gym classes that promote motor skill development
  • Art sessions that spark creativity
  • Music exploration that builds rhythm, memory, and joy
  • Imaginative play that encourages self-expression and collaboration

Each program is tailored to age-specific milestones and designed to enrich early childhood development in a fun, pressure-free atmosphere.

Instructors provide hands-on guidance in small, engaging groups, allowing children to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. Just as importantly, the space offers a break for busy parents to relax, connect with others, and feel supported in their parenting journey.

A Place to Grow—Together

Now open and ready to welcome families from across Cypress, Romp n’ Roll is poised to become a community cornerstone for early learning and play. Whether it’s a baby’s first tumble, a toddler’s first masterpiece, or a preschooler’s first solo slide, the new center provides the space—and heart—for each milestone.

For more information, schedules, or to enroll, families can visit the new location at 24310 US-290, Suite 200, Cypress, TX 77429 or check online for grand opening offers.
