Texas Logistic & Fulfillment Moves into Former Amazon Facility, Bringing Jobs and Innovation to Fort Bend County
A major transition in Fort Bend County’s logistics scene is underway, as Texas Logistic & Fulfillment Services LLC takes over the former Amazon facility at 12900 W Airport Blvd, Sugar Land, TX 77478, ushering in a new era of high-tech, climate-controlled warehousing and inclusive workforce development.
Replacing Amazon in the 300,000-square-foot building, Texas Logistic & Fulfillment is converting the site into one of Greater Houston’s largest HVAC-enabled third-party logistics (3PL) hubs. The move aligns with the company’s broader expansion strategy and Sugar Land’s vision of attracting innovative, job-generating businesses that bolster regional infrastructure.
“This expansion will unlock major service bottlenecks and support the fast-growing demand for climate-controlled logistics — especially for electronics and temperature-sensitive goods arriving through the Port of Houston,” said Omri Shafran, CEO of Texas Logistic & Fulfillment. “It also enables us to handle the increasing volume of lithium battery containers flowing into Texas.”
In a region experiencing exponential population and industrial growth, the new Sugar Land facility positions Fort Bend County as a key logistics corridor in Southeast Texas. With 100,000 square feet designated as bonded space, Texas Logistic & Fulfillment will offer importers and exporters significant operational flexibility in the bonded warehouse market — a critical service in international trade.

“Close to 100,000 square feet of the facility will be designated as bonded space, allowing us to offer maximum flexibility for importers and exporters in the bonded warehouse market,” confirmed company president Dimitri Menin.
Beyond its commercial impact, the expansion includes a uniquely inclusive component: a partnership with Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC), a facility serving individuals with disabilities. This makes Texas Logistic & Fulfillment’s partnership with Richmond State Supported Living Center (RSSLC) especially meaningful, as it directly addresses a persistent workforce gap while creating equitable pathways into the state’s rapidly growing logistics and e-commerce sectors.
According to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), approximately 28% of adults in Texas have a disability, equating to about 5.8 million individuals. Despite this significant demographic, employment rates among Texans with disabilities remain disproportionately low. Nationally, the employment-population ratio for people with disabilities was 22.7% in 2024, compared to 65.5% for those without disabilities.
In collaboration with RSSLC Procurement Manager Joby Kottoor, Texas Logistic & Fulfillment will offer specialized kitting and fulfillment job programs — helping empower Texans with disabilities to participate in the state’s surging e-commerce economy. The partnership aims to reflect the company’s 2025 mission of inclusive economic growth, a welcome development for advocates of workforce diversity and opportunity in Fort Bend County.
