Towne Lake Residents Invited to Upcoming MUD Board Meetings Covering Security, Infrastructure, and Community Services

Towne Lake residents have multiple opportunities to stay informed about local infrastructure, security, and public services through upcoming meetings of Harris County Municipal Utility District (MUD) boards. These sessions are critical touchpoints where board members discuss community priorities and make decisions that directly affect homeowners.

Upcoming MUD Board Meetings

 
HCMUD 501 Meeting – August 6, 2025, 5:30 p.m.

Harris County MUD 501, which directly serves parts of Towne Lake, will meet on Wednesday, August 6, at 5:30 p.m. at The Lakehouse, located at 10000 Towne Lake Pkwy, Cypress, TX 77433. According to the posted agenda, residents will have the opportunity to provide public comments and hear updates on security matters, including renewal of a security contract and amendments to existing agreements.

The board will also review tax assessments, adopt a resolution on development status for the 2025 tax year, and receive updates on infrastructure projects such as the Union Pacific Railroad grade separation and Highway 290 intersection improvements. Other items include financial and operational updates, water and sewer service matters, garbage and recycling reports, and community education initiatives like website enhancements and fact sheet updates.

HCMUD 502 Meeting – August 6, 2025, 11:00 a.m.

Harris County MUD 502, which also provides service to sections of Towne Lake, will meet earlier the same day—Wednesday, August 6, at 11:00 a.m. These meetings are typically held at 9955 Barker Cypress Rd, Cypress, TX 77433, and cover similar operational, financial, and infrastructure topics. The agenda for the August session had not yet been posted as of this writing.

HCMUD 503 Meeting – September 25, 2025, 2:00 p.m.

Harris County MUD 503 will meet Thursday, September 25, at 2:00 p.m. at the offices of Allen Boone Humphries Robinson LLP, located at 3200 Southwest Fwy # 2600, Houston, TX 77027. This board typically meets on the fourth Thursday of each month. The agenda for September’s meeting has not yet been released.

Why It Matters for Residents

MUD board meetings offer residents a chance to hear directly about local water, sewer, security, and infrastructure projects while providing an opportunity for public feedback.
