Clothed By Faith Celebrates 150,000 Clients Served, Honoring Volunteers and Looking Toward the Future
Clothed By Faith, a Houston-area nonprofit dedicated to restoring dignity through clothing, recently celebrated a remarkable milestone—serving its 150,000th client in need. The milestone was marked with a community event on June 22, 2025, at the organization’s Katy Branch, where volunteers, donors, and agency partners gathered to reflect on lives touched and futures changed.
“We loved celebrating the milestone of serving 150,000 clients with so many of you today,” Clothed By Faith shared. “Thank you to everyone who came out on June 22, 2025 to support, share memories, and look ahead with us toward serving the next 150,000.”
The Katy Branch celebration featured a festive balloon arch and delicious snacks courtesy of the National Charity League Ladybird and Star Chapter. “A special thank you to the National Charity League Ladybird and Star Chapter for providing the beautiful balloon arch and delicious snacks for the Katy Branch celebration,” the organization noted. Attendees shared stories, reflected on the organization’s journey, and looked forward to the continued work of bringing dignity and comfort to those in crisis.
A Mission Built on Faith and Compassion
Founded in 2013 by Abi Fourie, Clothed By Faith began as a garage-based effort to help those struggling with inadequate clothing. Drawing on her own childhood experiences with poverty, Fourie envisioned a mission rooted in faith and compassion: “to demonstrate God’s love through the provision of clothing to those in need.”

Since then, Clothed By Faith has grown to two locations—its Katy Branch and Deer Park Branch—serving families across more than 300 zip codes in Greater Houston. Each client receives a week’s worth of clothing, including shoes, new socks, and new underwear. Each bag, valued at approximately $300, is carefully packed by volunteers and provided for just $25 thanks to community donations.
The clients served are as diverse as their challenges: children in foster care, families recovering from disasters, veterans starting over, and parents escaping domestic violence. “A huge thank you to everyone who has volunteered, donated financially, or donated clothing over the years—you are the heart of this mission, and we couldn’t do it without you,” Clothed By Faith shared.
Partnerships That Change Lives
Clothed By Faith works with more than 170 agency partners and 27 school districts to meet clothing needs efficiently and respectfully. These partnerships allow the organization to reach families where they are—whether through agency referrals, emergency requests, or even school-based clothing closets.
Volunteers at the Katy branch, sorting and bagging clothing to be delivered to thoseOne school partner emphasized the impact this makes on children: “Clothed by Faith is such a blessing to our students and families. When provided with uniforms, our students become focused on their education and not on what they are wearing or what their parents can and cannot afford.”
In 2024 alone, Clothed By Faith volunteers donated over 18,000 hours to sort, pack, and distribute clothing. The results were staggering: 229,416 shirts, 132,826 pants, 19,118 pairs of shoes, and 95,590 each of socks and underwear provided to people who needed them most.
Looking Toward the Next 150,000
The June 22 celebration was not only about gratitude but also about the future. Clothed By Faith has already set its sights on serving the next 150,000 clients, continuing its work to restore dignity and confidence one bag of clothing at a time.
Every donation of time, money, or clothing directly impacts the lives of neighbors facing hardship. For as little as $25, supporters can provide a week’s worth of clothing to someone in crisis.
