Cy-Fair Helping Hands Collecting Food Donations for Thanksgiving Food Drive

Cy-Fair Helping Hands (CFHH), a local nonprofit serving the homeless and hungry in northwest Harris County, provides a Thanksgiving meal including side dishes and a turkey or a gift card for a turkey or ham for families in our area who are struggling financially. Currently, almost 600 families rely on CFHH each month to have enough to eat and to have enough food to feed their children.
With the rising cost of living, more and more families are coming to CFHH for help. Unfortunately, as the needs grow, we are experiencing a decrease in food donations. Frankly, we need your help.
"The holiday season is rapidly approaching" stated Janet Ryan, CFHH's Executive Director, "and our Thanksgiving food drive is underway. As you shop, please add some Thanksgiving items to your cart to help feed the families who need a helping hand during the holidays. Let's help each family enjoy a tasty Thanksgiving meal together."
Needed items include: stuffing mix, turkey gravy, canned soup (cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, chicken broth), instant boxed mashed potatoes, boxed mac 'n cheese, canned corn, canned green beans, canned sweet potatoes, canned peas, canned cranberry sauce, canned pie filling (apple, cherry, peach), boxed Jiffy pie crust mix, and boxed Jiffy corn bread. $25 - $30 gift cards are also needed so each family can purchase a turkey or a ham.
Please deliver to our Food Pantry located at 9606 Kirkton Drive, Houston by November 7th. The Food Pantry is open on Mondays, Thursdays, and the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9:00 AM until 12:15 PM.
"The holiday spirit is best shared," said Ryan, "and this helps to create a little more peace and spread a little more goodwill throughout our community. We cannot thank you enough for helping CFHH care for our homeless and hungry neighbors."
