Nature Meets Creativity at Houston Audubon's Wild Art Mini Camp This July
This summer, Houston-area families looking to inspire creativity and a love for the outdoors in their children can look no further than Houston Audubon's Wild Art Mini Camp, a three-day nature-based arts and crafts experience nestled in the lush surroundings of the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary. Scheduled from July 22–24, 2025, the mini camp will run daily from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., offering a perfect half-day retreat for children ages 9 to 13.
A Hands-On Artistic Adventure in Nature
Campers will unlock their imaginations through a variety of nature-inspired arts and crafts, exploring the outdoors while working inside the historic log cabin and around the tranquil forest paths of the sanctuary. Each activity is designed to deepen children’s connection to the environment through artistic expression, from leaf prints to wildlife sketches and eco-sculptures.
This limited-capacity camp ensures a personalized and enriching experience for each participant. The cost for the three-day session is $180, with registration required for eligible youth who will be age 9–13 by the camp's start date.
Registration and further event details are available on Houston Audubon’s website. For additional information, interested families may contact Amber Leung at 713-932-1639 or via email at aleung@houstonaudubon.org.
